Maybe I didn’t work hard enough, maybe it just wasn’t going to work no matter what but I am moving on. I have closed down Goldigg.com. I know it may be too soon. I’ve learned a lot and I’m not giving up.
Thanks for all your help and support,
Andrew

I’ve had some bloggers give their opinions of my Goldigg endeavor and their are still many to come. To read the latest posts, go to Technorati and type in goldigg. I am going to continue to virally market Goldigg and please help in spreading the word.

This is one the questions that compelled me to launch my latest web venture. We all know that Digg is an amazing site, something that has truly revolutionized the internet. We spend hours on the site, submitting stories, digging others, commenting. We are the site, and should we be rewarded?
Digg came out with some new features recently and at the time I was creating my new website. I had a simple idea that I’m surprised Digg is not working (or maybe they are), members should have the opportunity to earn money from the stories that they submit. Similar to how Revver operates their advertising. Digg should place ads within each submission and split the revenue with the original submitter. Or another idea is that when a story makes it to the homepage ads are automatically added within the story and then Digg splits the revenue from their.
I know most Digg users don’t like ads but if you could earn money maybe you’d think twice. When systems like these are in place, where everyone benefits, they always seem to prosper.
What do you think? Leave some comments, criticisms, ideas, whatever, below.

I got a pretty decent amount of traffic so far but no sign ups. I know it’s going to take some time but once I get the ball rolling and the I get the early adopters of Goldigg others will be intrigued.
I’ve emailed lots of people and have only received one short response back. No one interested in profiling Goldigg and no one interested in joining yet. Maybe tonight I’ll get some interest.
